****SOLD****

This is my entry for the :iconjewelryclub: Nature Inspired Contest. It didn't place, but I received an honorable mention.

My inspiration for this piece came from this beautiful photo: [link] taken by :icontagirocks: It took a while, but after looking at the photo multiple times, and sketching many different designs, the inspiration finally sunk in, and the design you see in the photo above is the outcome :D

The piece is made out of sterling silver sheet and wire, with natural 2 - 2.5 mm sapphires. The oval pendant has a satin finish, and the silver wire is polished. I also polished the area where the waterfall flows over the oval base. I thought it gave it a wet, watery look. Don't you agree?

Great work, the design reminds me a bit of Gustav Klimt!

Very nice! It's got a sleek modern look, almost minimalist, but is still obviously a waterfall.

This is a lovely interpretaion of that photograph. I like the sapphire accents along the metal wires, and the way you've mixed the satin and polished finish to nicely indicate where the water flows. :)

Wow, this is so three-dimensional even though it's relatively flat!

wow, this is stunning. i love the contrast of shapes and how the stones are eye-catching but still discreet enought not to distract ^^
